I began my goat keeping journey 9 years ago, it might not seem like a long time and I've learned an extraordinary amount in that time. BUT I've learned the hard way having suffered losses in the process. Some of those things could have been avoided if I'd known then what I know now.

Firstly, I never realised how many people actually kept goats as pets as opposed to actual livestock! Secondly, I noticed that there is a big gap in knowledge, even for those who've been keeping goats for 2 or even 3 times longer than me! I don't know why that is, maybe it's because I'm such a geek and simply HAVE to read and learn as much as I can about things that I'm passionate about!
